Congra tulations o n your purc hase of AR660W3G Wireless N 3G/3.5G Mobile Router. This product is specifically design ed for business trav elers o r SOHO needs.
Step 1 Option 1 Plug the 3G/3.5G USB modem card into the USB slot on the front panel of the router. Option 2 Connect one end of a network ca ble to the WAN port of the router and connect the other end of the cabl e to the DSL/Ca ble mode m. Power on the modem.
Step 3 Plug the power adapter to the router and con nect it to an outlet or power strip. Step 4 Power on your computer. Step 5 Make sure either WAN or USB , WLAN , an d the LAN port that the computer is connected to are lit. If not, try the above steps again.
Configuring the Router Step 1 Open the web browser (Int ernet Explorer or Mozilla Firefox) from the computer that is wired to the Router, type 192.168.2.1 in the Addre ss bar and press Enter . Step 2 Enter admin for both the username and pa ssword fields a nd click OK .
Step 3 Click Setup Wi zard on the left menu..
Step 4 Configure the Time Zone Settings of the Router. Click Nex t . Step 5 Select WAN type by which Internet service you are using. This guide will provide instructions on these WA N types: 3G/3.
3G/3.5G Click on 3G/3.5G if you are connecting to Internet through a 3G USB modem. When the 3G/3.5G detailed settings co me up, enter the Internet connection parameters if it is required by your wi reless 3G Internet Service Provider. There are 2 types of Services: CDMA2000 or 3G/3.
DSL For DSL users, your Internet type is either Dy na m ic IP or PPPoE . If you are not sure which one you have, it is suggested to sel ect PPPoE xDSL for your WAN type, and if you cannot connect to the Internet after the Setup Wizard finished, go through the Setup Wi zard again a nd select Cable Modem .
Note: Depending on the ISP, you may need to inclu de the domai n name with your username. Example: username@sbcglobal.net Option 2: Dynamic IP Settings Click on Cable Modem for your WA N type. When the Dynamic IP settings come u p, leave click Clone MAC and click Next .
Step 7 Set up Wireless Security for your router. WPA2(AES) is the most secured encr yption mode for general users. WEP is the most common encryption but the lea st se cu red. It is recommended to use WPA2 (AES) for your wirel ess securi ty if all wireless devices on your network can support this mode.
WPA Unicast Cipher Suite: Select WPA2(AES) Pre-Shared Key Forma t: Select Passphrase Pre-shared Key: Enter a key between 8 to 63 charact ers (alphanumeri c, case sensitive). This is the secu rity ke y for your wireless network Click OK to save the settings.
• Key Length: Select 64-bit or 128-bit • Key Format: Select Hex or ASCII • Default Tx Key: Select Key 1 • Encryption Key 1: If you selected 64-bit key length and ASCII key format, enter 5 alphanumeric char acters. If you sele cted 128-bit key length and ASCII key format, enter 13 alphanumeric characters.
If either section has valid IP addresse s being a ssigned, the router is connected to the Internet. Connecting to the Router Wirelessly You must configure your wirele ss computer in order to establi sh a wireless connection to the router.
Step 1 Click on this icon on the task bar of your desktop, then clic k on Wireless networks are available. Step 2 Click on the wireless netwo rk you want to connect to and cl ick Connect .

Connecting to the Router with Easy Setup Button The AR660W3G Airlink10 1 Wireless N 3G/3.5G Mobile Router has a Easy Setup Button built-in which allows you to connect your wireless computer with the router easily and safely. Your wireless adapter must supp ort this feature (WiFi Protected Setup™) as well.
You will see this window pops up on the monitor: Step 3 Within the following 2 minutes, push the Ea sy Setup Button on the Router.
