As with all machinery , there are certain hazar ds involved with the operation of the product. Using the machine with respect and caution will considerably lessen the possibility of personal injury .

Refer to them often and use them to instruct others. 1. DO NOT OPERA TE THIS MACHINE until it is assembled and installed according to the instructions.
4 POWER CONNECTIONS A separate electrical circuit should be used for your machines. This cir cuit should not be less than #12 wire and should be protected with a 20 Amp time lag fuse.
Use proper extension cor ds. Make sure your extension cord is in good condition and is a 3-wir e extension cord which has a 3-prong gr ounding type plug and matching receptacle which will accept the machine’ s plug. When using an extension cord, be sur e to use one heavy enough to carry the current of the machine.

7 6. Re-attach blade to upper blade holder . (See the section “ CHANGING BLADES ”, begin with instruction #6). 7. Assemble table insert (C) Fig. 9, in table as shown.
8 WRENCH AND BLADE STORAGE A convenient wrench and blade holder (A) Fig. 13, is supplied on the left side of the rear casting, which allows you to store the hex wr enches (C), quickset blade changing wrench (B) and extra scr oll saw blades when not in use.
9 6. Insert long end (A) Fig. 16, of quickset blade changing wrench into hole (G) in lower blade holder . This will help align wrench (C) with blade holder scr ew (H). 7. T urn wrench (E) Fig. 17, counterclockwise to loosen screw (H) and r emove blade (F) from lower blade holder .
10 TIL TING THE T ABLE The table (A) Fig. 20, on your scroll saw can be tilted up to 45 degrees to the left for bevel cutting operations. 1. T urn the table insert 90 degrees to the right. NOTE: ROT A TE THE T ABLE INSERT (B) FIG. 20A, TO ALLOW YOU TO TIL T THE T ABLE WITHOUT BENDING OR BREAKING THE BLADE.
11 ADJUSTING HOLDDOWN The bottom of the holddown (A) Fig. 24, should be adjusted so it contacts the top surface of the work being cut by loosening lock handle (B) and moving holddown assembly (C) up or down.
12 MAINTENANCE LUBRICA TION Perform maintenance below after each 20 hours of use. 1. DISCONNECT MACHINE FROM POWER SOURCE. 2. Remove the four screws (A) Fig. 26, and side panel (B). 3. Release blade tension by moving blade tension lever to the vertical position.
13 CHOICE OF BLADES Y our scroll saw will accept a wide variety of 5" flat end blades. Consider the following as a general guideline for selecting a blades. 1. Use a finer blade for cutting thin workpieces, for hard materials, or when a smooth cut is r equired.
