19 3 Operation V erification Operation verification is a series of tests that, when comp leted, will either ensure that t he signal generator is operating correctly , or will assist in poin tin g to the problem area.
20 Chapter 3 Operation V erifi cation Performing a Self- T est Performing a S elf- T es t The self-test is a series of inter nal tests that checks different signal generator functions. If th is test fails, refer to “Self-T est Failure” on page 21 for fur the r inst ruc tio ns .

Make sure all external cables, inclu ding GPIB, LAN, and RS -232 cables, are dis connected from the signal g enerator and per form the sel f-test again.
