1 Intr oduc tion This latest LCD monitor has a 15- inch active matri x TFT (thin film t r ans istor ) liquid cr y stal d isplay module . It is designed f or u se with an y Windo ws ® -based P C. The m onitor ’s compact d esign pr ov ides gr eat space sav ings on y our comp uter desk .

3 Installation Please f ollow the instructions in thi s cha pter to i nstall yo ur LCD monitor. Note: Before connecting your monitor, first r ead through the instruc tions in this chapter and the safety precautions in the prev ious c hapter .

5 4. Plug the analog video signal cable into the Analog Video Input port on the back of the monitor (as sho wn abo ve). 5 . Connec t the othe r end of the v ideo ca ble into y our compu ter ’s vid eo port. (P lease chec k yo ur comput er’s documen tation f or port location.

7 3. Select the Settings tab. 4. Cli ck Advanced button . 5 . Select the Moni tor tab. 6. Cl ick th e C hange button. 7 . Select the Spec ify a Location bo x. 8. F ind and open the TFT1501.inf f ile on the CD-ROM disc in the Dr iv ers di r e ctory , and click OK .

T o tilt the monit or, gr asp the si des and pu sh the monito r back or p ull it to war d you un til it is in the desir ed position .
10 Alth ough yo ur L CD monitor su pports up to 7 5 Hz for anal og vid eo input , w e recomme nd that y ou use 60 Hz r efr esh r ate f or best perf ormance . The ta ble in the “V ideo Mode ” secti on sho ws the image refr es h r ates suppor ted b y the monitor at d iffer ent scr ee n r esolutions.
11 T o clean t he scr een: 1. Sh ut do wn the P C. 2 . T urn o ff and unplug th e monitor . 3 . Gentl y dust th e scr een with a dry , soft , lint-f r ee clot h. Note: If th e s c r een is still dir ty , you can dampen the cloth with sever al drops of distilled wa ter .
12 Adjusting Y our M onitor This chapter co ntains information about how to cha nge dis play sett ings for your L C D Moni tor . I t is design ed with an On- Scr een Displ ay (O SD) menu to help y ou easil y adj ust to its op timum perf orman ce. Note: Y ou must perform Auto Configur ation before making an y adjustment .

14 Selecting Items in t he OS D M enu T o select a sp ecif ic item in t he OSD Main Menu, or a spec ifi c item in the OSD submenu , use the Up ( ▲ ) and Do wn ( ▼ ) but tons to mov e to that item, and then select i t b y pressing the Sel ect ( ) button.
15 2. P re s s t h e Up ( ▲ ) or Down ( ▼ ) bu t t ons to mov e forw ard or bac kwar d to the CL OCK (or PHA SE) icon an d highlight it . 3. P res s th e Selec t ( ) button to s elect it . This w ill open th e CL OCK (or PHA SE) bar wit h the ass ocia ted numer ic v alue f or yo ur adjus tment onsc reen .
16 2. P re s s t h e Up ( ▲ ) or Down ( ▼ ) buttons to mov e forwar d or backwar d to the COL OR icon and highligh t it. 3. P res s t he Select ( ) button to select i t . This will open the COL OR submenu w ith f our optio ns in it: BL UISH , WHITE, REDDISH, and USER R GB S A VE.
17 Adjusting Contrast and Br ightness T o adju st the con tra st (or br ightness) o f the displ ay ed images, f ollo w the st eps belo w: 1. Open t he OSD Main Menu by selecting the Selec t ( ) button. 2 . Pr ess the Up ( ▲ ) or Down ( ▼ ) buttons t o mov e f orwar d or bac kwar d to the CONTRAS T (or BRIGHTNE SS) i con and highli ght it .
18 Y ou ma y deter mine ho w long the O SD will s tay o nscr een b y selecting th e OSD TIME OUT optio n. Incr ease or de cr e ase the OSD display time by pr essing the Up ( ▲ ) or Down ( ▼ ) buttons i n the O SD TIMEOUT su bmenu . Th e maxim um timeout setting is 6 0 seconds.

T o make y our ch oice , f ollo w the step s belo w: 1. Open t he OSD Main Menu b y pressing the Select ( ) bu tton.
21 Note: Auto Setup uses state -o f-the -art signal processing algorithms based on the image display ed on your screen. T herefore , you shou ld not change the image on your screen while Auto Setup is running. Once y ou hav e e xec uted Au to Setup f or a partic ular mode , the mo nitor will s tor e the ne w value s in its per manent memory .
