2 T o use Mobile W eb you will need... A subscription to a Mobile Web tarif f. Any of the following PDA devices: Pocket PC: Windows ® powered Pocket PC – CE 3.0 or Pocket PC 2002 (Service Pack 1 ). 400KB free disk space. Palm ™ Handheld: Operating System 4.
Y our Pocket PC must be able to ‘sync’ with your PC before you set it up for Mobile W eb. • Connect your Pocket PC to your PC via the cable or cradle. • Load the Mobile Web ‘Getting Started’ CD into your PC. It will start automatically . • Select Mobile Web 2.
The message Installing Mobile Web will appear , and on completion, the window will close automatically . • Y ou will now be asked to check your PDA ’ s screen for any further instructions. • A Maintenance Complete window will then appear . T ap Finish .

The default homepage may be changed by referring to the instructions in the advanced user guide on the Getting Started CD-ROM. T o access the guide insert the Getting Started CD-ROM and select ‘User Guides’ from the file menu.
10 11 T o skip auto-configuration, if unsuccessful • Ta p Skip or Next . • Enter name in the Y our Name field. • Enter User name and Password and tick Save Password box, if r equired. (This is recommended to avoid having to enter the password each time you r eceive email.

14 Y our Palm ™ Handheld must be able to ’ sync’ with your PC before you set it up for Mobile Web. • Connect your Palm ™ Handheld to your PC via the cable or cradle. • Load the Mobile Web ‘Getting Started’ CD into your PC. It will start automatically .
• A new screen will indicate that the r equired files are being installed automatically . • A Maintenance Complete window will then appear . T ap Finish to continue. • The set-up process is now complete. • The Mobile Web application will be downloaded automatically the next time you ‘sync’ your Palm ™ Handheld.
Choose your handset from the list, then tap Make Default (only requir ed once). • Activate the infrared port on your mobile phone (see pages 31 to 34), and align it with your PDA ’ s infrared port. • T ap Connect . In a few seconds the connection and your web browser will open – and the O 2 PDA homepage will appear .
