3 General Safety Information continued. • CARBON MONO XIDE HAZARD • This heater is a comb ustion appliance. All combustion appliances produce carbon mono xide (CO) during the combustion process.
4 Assembly ■ Identify Center Rear Suppor t Brac ket. It has six holes, v arious sizes. ■ Place Center Rear Suppor t Brac ket in place o ver the center screw . ■ Assemb le one nut loosely ov er the screw to attach the Center Rear Suppor t Brack et.
5 Assembly continued. Step 3 (continued) Step 4 (continued) Step 4 ■ Set cylinder cov er assembly on top of heater base. P osition opening opposite the wheels. ■ Tighten all f asteners. Use a #2 Phillips screwdriv er to tighten all screws . Use a 7/16" open end wrench to tighten all he x nuts.
Assembly continued. 6 3 Required Small Screw Step 10 Step 9 ■ Using the three scre ws remov ed in Step 8, securely attach clamp assembly to support tubes. ■ Load tab le onto post by sliding table clamp o ver post and f eed post through center hole of table .
7 Assembly continued. ■ Inser t head assembly into post. ■ Control knob should be abov e decal on post. ■ Attach head assemb ly to post, and loosely install three screws . ■ Tighten scre ws securely . 3 Required Small Screw Step 14 ■ Suppor t Heater .
8 Step 16 Assembly continued. • Y ou must provide propane gas and propane tank. Use a standard 20 lb . propane tank only . • Use this heater only with a propane vapor withdra wal supply system. See Chapter 5 of the Standard f or Storage and Handling of Liquefied P etroleum Gas , ANSI/NFP A 58 .
9 Leak Check W ARNING • P erform all leak tests outdoors. • Extinguish all open flames. • NEVER leak test when smoking. • Do not use the heater until all connections have been leak tested and do not leak. ■ Lift cov er while installing remaining cylinder cov er section.
Operation 10 Lighting Instructions for HEA TER 1. Push in and rotate (counter clockwise) heater control knob to the Pilot position and release. 2. Push in on heater control knob and push Igniter Button to ignite Pilot Light. Note: Initial lighting after gas cylinder change can take up to tw o (2) minutes to purge any air that ma y be in the line.
11 Match Lighting Instructions for HEA TER 2. Push in and rotate (counter clockwise) Heater Control Knob to the Pilot position and release. 3. Use a long match. Locate Pilot P or t directly above center glass panel. 4. Light a long fireplace match (minimum 4" long) and inser t into Pilot P ort, then push in and hold Heater Control Knob.
Operation continued. 1. T ur n cylinder valv e on. Match Lighting Instructions for LIGHT 2. Remove front glass. 3. Place a lighted match near mantle, then push in and rotate Light Control Knob to the ON position. Immediately light second mantle with match.
