1 PRE-DELIVER Y CHECK LIST Check the following before you deli ver the Aerator to the customer . 1. Guards and shields fastened in place. 2. Decals fastened and legible. 3. W eight bar installed. 4. Gas lev er on engine turned on. 5. All lubrication points greased.
2 OPERA TION AL SAFETY 1. Carefully read and follow all caution decals. (See Pg. 5.) 2. Operate only in daylight or good artificial light. 3. Do not operate machine unless all guards, shields and cov ers are in place and in proper working condition. 4.
3 OPERA TION PREP ARA TION 1. Carefully read this manual and operate Aerator correctly . 2. Always check machine on le vel ground. 3. V isually check all moving parts and all f asteners, if loose or broken, tighten or replace. Check for broken or bent tines, replace if necessary .
4 GENERAL MAINTENANCE AERA T OR MAINTEN ANCE TO KEEP THE AERA TOR IN GOOD OPERA TING CONDITION, PERFORM THE FOLLO WING: • When replacement parts are required, use genuine Classen parts or parts with equiv alent characteristics including type, strength, and material.
5 SAFETY DECALS All Guards Must Be In Place While Machine Is In Operation 6. When adjustment is complete, retighten the bolts (Ke y 4) on the pillow block bearings (K ey 5) and replace the pulley guard and fasteners. NO TE : Excessive roller chain tightness will shorten the life of the bearings.
