6 DX515 English 5. HANDLING COMP A CT DISCS This unit has been designed specifically f or pla y- bac k of compact discs bearing the mark. No other discs can be play ed. T o remove the compact disc from its storage case , press down on the center of the case and lift the disc out, holding it carefully by the edges .
DX515 7 E glis 6. DCP The control panel can be detached to pre vent theft. When detaching the control panel, store it in the DCP (DET ACHABLE CONTROL P ANEL) case to prev ent scratches. We recommend taking the DCP with y ou when leaving the car . CA UTION Remo ving the DCP 1.
1. T ur n the remote control unit over , then slide the rear cov er in the direction of the arrow . 2. Inser t the AA (SUM-3, IECR-6/1.5V) batter- ies that came with the remote control unit f ac- ing in the directions shown in the figure, then close the rear cov er .

Scan Play (Intr o Music Scan) Press the SCN button 8 , then the displa y sho ws “ SCN ”, then the CD will pla y the first 10 seconds of each track of the whole disc. Press the SCN button 8 again to disengage the unit from scan play . * A scan pla y will start from the track f ollowing the one currently playing.
DX515 15 E glis Fast-Forwar d and Fast-Bac kward Press and hold the SRCH Left/Right button @ . : T o fast-f orward : T o fast-bac kw ard * Pressing the SRCH Left/Right button f or 1 second or longer will mov e f orw ard or bac kw ard 5 times faster than normal play , and pressing it for 3 seconds or longer will do the operation 30 times f aster.
