DX425 2 English 1. When the inside of the car is very cold and the play er is used soon after switching on the heater , moisture may f orm on the disc or the optical parts of the player and proper playbac k may not be possib le. If moisture forms on the disc, wipe it off with a soft cloth.

6 DX425 English 5. HANDLING COMP A CT DISCS This unit has been designed specifically f or pla y- bac k of compact discs bearing the mar k. No other discs can be play ed. T o remove the compact disc from its stor age case , press down on the center of the case and lift the disc out, holding it carefully by the edges .
DX425 7 English 6. DCP (Detachab le Contr ol P anel) The control panel can be detached to prev ent theft. When detaching the control panel, store it in the included DCP case to prev ent scratches . W e recommend taking the detachab le control panel with you when lea ving the car .

Inser t the AA (UM-3/1.5 V) batteries that came with the remote control unit f acing in the directions shown in the figure , then close the rear cov er .

T op Function The top function allows the first trac k of the cur- rent CD to be play ed. Press T op button 4 to pla y the first track (tr ack No .1) of CD . Selecting T racks (songs) Press the SRCH Left/Right button 2 . : Playbac k will start from the next trac k.
Scan play Press the SCN button 5 , then the displa y sho ws “ SCN ”, then the CD will pla y the first 10 seconds of each track of the whole disc. Press the SCN button 5 again to disengage the unit from scan play . * A scan pla y will start from the track f ollowing the one currently playing.
