3 Over view Linksys PL W400 Thank you for choosing this Linksys PL W400 wireless Pow erline network adapter . This adapter pr ovides easy setup and let you connect wir eless network devices to your P owerline network . This setup guide assumes you alr eady have a w ork ing P owerline network.
4 Over view Linksys PL W400 How P ow erline networking works Electrical wiring runs through your home or office , carr ying pow er to electrical outlets in ev ery room. The typical wired Ethernet network uses Ethernet network cables to connect y our wir ed network devices.
5 Installing the PL W400 Linksys PL W400 Installation ov er view T o set up y our Po werline netw ork, you should: • Make sure you already hav e Internet acc ess and a work ing home P owerline network. • Make sure that the wir eless devices that you want to c onnect t o the PL W400 have a working wireless feature.
6 Using the Utility Linksys PL W400 c. Within two minutes, press the Wi-F i Protected Setup button on your wireless router . The PL W400 retrieves the security settings from the router and connects to your wir eless network. 3. Move your PL W400 to a power outlet near the wireless network device(s) you want t o connect.
