3. S ETUP Fuse Replacement Disconnect the power cord before replacin g a fuse an d alwa y s re p lace with the same t yp e fuse. The fuse is located inside this compartment. Remove using a flat head screwdriver. With a flat head screwdriver we dge the fuse holder out of its housing.
CABLE CONNECTORS Cabling must have a male XLR connector on one end and a female XLR c onn ector on the other end. CO MM O N DMX + DMX - INPUT OUTPUT 1 3 2 1 Termination reduces signal er rors. To avoid signal transmission problems and interference, it is al ways advisable to connect a D MX signal terminator.
Master/Slave Fixture Linking 1. Connect the (male) 3 pin connector side of the DMX cable to the output (female) 3 pin connector of the first fixture. 2. Connect the end of the cable coming from the first fixture which will have a ( f emale) 3 pin connector to the input connector of t he next fixture co ns isting of a (male) 3 pin connector.
S t acking The Derby X™ may be “stacked” by using m ultiple fixtures and the optional bracket (XBRACKET). This bracket may be ordered from CHAUVET. The bracket kit will ship with 2pcs bracket (as sh own below) and will include 4 screw s for attaching it to the bottom of the fixture.
4. O PERATING I NSTRUCTIONS Operation Stand-Alone Mode (Sound-Active): This mode allows a single uni t to run to t he beat of the music, or the unit will auto ch ange in Auto Mode.

SETTING THE STARTING ADDRESS This DMX mode enables the use of a un iversal DMX contr oller device. Each fixture requires a "start address" from 1 to 512. A fixture requiring o ne or mo re channels for control begins to read the data on the channel indicated by the start address .
