4. Operating Instructions 8 9/13/2010 2:33 PM 4. O PERATING I NSTRUCTIONS Configuring the Starting Address The LED PAR 56-24UVB fixture us es two DMX channels. The hi ghest channel that the fixture may be set to in order to function properly is 511. An y address higher than this will prevent access to all of the channels.
4. Operating Instructions 9 9/13/2010 2: 33 PM DMX Operation This operating mode allows control of the fixture with an external DMX controller. You must set the starting address for this mode. If this is your first time using DMX, then it is recommended that you refer to the “DMX Primer” section in the “Appendix” of this manual.

5. Appendix 12 9/13/2010 2:33 PM DMX Primer There are 512 channels in a DMX connection. A fixt ure capable of receiving DMX will require one or a number of sequential channels. The user must assign a starting address on the fi xture that indicates the first channel reserved in the cont roller.

Do not allow contact be twe en the common and the fixture’s ch assis ground. Grounding the common can caus e a ground loop, and y our fixture may pe rform erratically.
