14 System configuration Steps to define COM port/peripheral devices After connecting peripheral devices, programming of I/O parameter ta ble, printer connection table are necessary .
15 IPL TE-2200/2400 Dealer's Manual IPL (Initial pr ogram loading) IPL should be made before initializing when the application program has been modif ied. Memory map of the terminal The application programs are do wnloaded from PC (via COM port)/other terminal (via inline or COM port)/CF card to the internal flash memory .
16 IPL (Initial Pr ogram Loading) CF card Ne ver plug/unplug the CF card during IPL. Via CF car d (to send the IPL data to CF car d) Operation 1. Set the mode switch to OFF position. 2. Open the CF card slot cover and inser t the CF card securely . (Please check that the CF card is vacant.
17 Initialization TE-2200/2400 Dealer's Manual Initialization Machine initialization pr ocedure 1. Plug the power cord into an A C outlet. 2. Hold down <JOURN AL FEED>. 3. T urn the mode switch to PGM position. 4. Release <JOURN AL FEED>.
18 Initialization Note: Please check the receipt after initialization operation (machine initialization, flag clear operation and init2) that the machine number is printed properly . If error codes are printed on it, check the hardwar e and retry the operation.

20 Initialization Entering dia g mode P assw ord During initialize operation, you can program the password for PGM 3 ~ 7. If it is set, e v ery time you enter PGM 3 ~ 7 mode, you must input this password by the follo wing procedure. 1. Press <#-1> (normally <CASH/AMT TEND>).
