3 To in stall the front pan el follow the pr ocedure ou tlined below: 1. Firmly g rasp bottom of front panel on both si des. 2. Hold front pan el at a 45 deg ree angle to unit. Be sure front panel is ce ntered with front of uni t. 3. Conn ect top of front p anel to par tition rai l on top of unit.
4 ELECTRICAL DA T A Be sure that your o utlet mat ches the appropri ate blade con figuration o f the supp lied plug and that it is within reach of the service cord. A hardwire kit is available as an accessory to change cord-connected units to hardwired units.
5 INST ALLA TION CHASSIS INST ALLA TION Units ar e shipped wi thout a sleeve. I n applicati ons where uni t is a replace ment, it is re commended that a Carrier sleeve b e us ed. The 5 2C and 52P units can retrofit General Ele ctric, Aman a and Trane sleeve s/ grilles (be sure ou tdoor gr ille is instal led on the sleev e).

8 OPERA TION COMFOR T CONTROLS ■ ADJUST AIRFLOW DIRECTION — The disc harge air grille is mounted on the fron t panel so th at the a ir discharges forward. If upward discharge is required , remove the grille by removing screws o n back of front panel.
9 OPERA TING CONTROLS The foll owing controls a r e located on the front o f the control b ox door, under fron t panel. To obtain access t o operating cont rols, remove the unit f ront panel as shown on page 2. See Figure 14. ■ F AN CYCLE SWITCH — (Not availabl e on RC or RP units.
10 CARE AND MAINTENANCE In or der to maintai n prop er per forma nce of your pa ck- aged terminal air conditioner or heat pump, it is very importan t that the fan and ou tdoor coil, the blower wheel, blower scro ll, electric hea ter, and al l drain pa s- sages ar e thoroughl y cleaned at least o nce per year.

If unit is installed where condensation dr ainage could dr ip in an undes i rable location, an accessor y drain kit should be installed and connected to dr ain syst em.
