CONTROLS AND COMPONENTS Figure 1 shows the major components of the PPS system. Pumpout Unit — The pumpout unit consists of a spring- mounted direct motor-driven reciprocating compressor , a water- cooled refrigerant condenser , an oil separator , suction and discharge valves to control refrigerant flow , and prewired safety and control devices.
NOTE: During this operation, maintain water circulation through the chiller cooler and condenser vessels to prevent tube freeze-up. DISTILLING THE REFRIGERANT — Refrigerant vapor is transferred from.
