Easy Setup Instructions 4 Preparing the Printer 1 Place the printer on a flat surface. 2 Remove the tape from the printer. The tape position is sub ject to c hange. 3 Plug the power cord into the back of the printer and connect the other end to a power outlet.

Printing Maintenance 55 Printing Ma intenance When Printing Be comes F aint or C olors are Incorrect When printing becomes faint or colors are incorrect, even if ink remains in the ink tanks, the print head nozzles are probably clogged. F ollow the procedures below to clean the nozzles.
Printing Maintenance 56 Printing the Nozzle Check P attern Print the nozzle check patte rn to determine whether the ink ejects properly from the print head nozzles. Use this function when printed results are blurred or the color is incorrect. 1 Prepare to print.

Printing Maintenance 62 note • T o maintain optimal print quality, use an in k tank with in six months of its fi rst use. • Once an ink tank has been used, do not remove it from the prin ter and le ave it out in the open. This will cause the ink tank to dry out and t he printer may not function properly if it is reinstalled.
Printing Maintenance 63 How Low Ink W arning Setting Wo rks The low ink warning notifies you of low ink levels during printing. The Low Ink W arn ing has be en preset to be automatically displayed. When you reset the ink counter, it wi ll assume that the ink tank is full regardless of how much ink actually re mains.
