Set Up the Machine Unpac king the Machine Bef ore Setting Up the M achine ● Remov e all shippi ng tape and packing material from the machine . ● When moving the machi ne, grip the handles on both left and right si des of the machine and l ift it careful ly , as shown in the il lustration right.

5 Insta ll T one r Cartridge 1 Remove the toner car tr idge fr om the bag. K eep t he bag for future use. CA U TION Do not op en the drum protec tive shutter (A). 2 Gently rock the toner car tr idge sev eral times to distr ibute toner ins ide. 3 Pull t he seal com pletely out.
7 Set Up the P aper Cassette and Load P aper 1 Align t he guides ( B) on the bot h edges of the paper c assette to th e protr usions (A ) inside t he mach ine.
9 8 Close th e front panel of the pape r cassette. NO TE T o load L egal-size paper, lea ve the front p anel of paper c assette ope n and adjust the paper guide ra il (A) for Legal- size paper . 9 Connect the edg e of dust cov er (A) and the edg e of paper cas sette (B).
11 Connect the P ower Cor d and T urn On the Machine Connect T elephon e Cables 12 Conne ct your e xter nal te lephone to the external de vic e jack (A) on back side of the machi ne if required . Conne ct the su pplied telep hone cable to th e telephon e line jack (B) on b ack side of the m achine an d the wall jack.

If the machine i s connected to a network using a LAN cable , you can print the documents sent from a computer , send documents to a file server and send document attached to an e-mail t hrough a network.
