2 Setting Up 1 Pre paring the Printer 1 1 1 1 Place the pri nter on a flat sur face. 2 2 2 2 Remove t he t ape f r om the printer as shown. The tape po sition is subje ct to ch ange. 3 3 3 3 Attac h t he pape r re st t o th e s hee t feeder . 4 4 4 4 Pull out the out put tray .

4 3 Installing th e Pri nt Head • Nev er atte mpt to plu g the power co rd into the po wer outlet or unplug the power cord whe n your hands are wet. • Neve r dama ge, mod ify , stre tch, or excessiv ely be nd or twist t he power co rd. Do not p lace he avy obje cts on the powe r cord.

If it is dif ficul t to pick the b est patte rn on Column H, pick the sett ing that p roduces the leas t notic eable v ertical whit e st r ipes .

The pattern is print ed. 4 4 4 4 Observe the printed p atterns and check the p attern in which vert ical st ripes are leas t noticeab le.

The screen for selectin g a patt ern in co lumn B (“b”) app ears. 7 7 7 7 Repeat the above procedur e to determine the p attern numbers (+7 to – 3) of t he checked p atterns in c olumns B throu gh E and the patte rn numbers (+5 to –5) of the checked p atterns in columns F through K.
