They will also enable you to get the best performance fr om and prolong the lif e of the unit: 1.
4 Limited warranty V entilation IMPORT ANT – The unit will become hot when in use. Do not place anything on top of the unit. Do not place in an enclosed area such as a bookcase or in a cabinet without sufficient ventilation. Ensure that small objects do not fall thr ough any ventilation grille.
5 550A/650A azur Rear panel connections Pow er On/Of f Switches the unit on and off. This switch is a master on/of f contr ol that, when switched off, overrides the Standby/On butt on on the front of the unit and that on the remote contr ol.
6 Connections When designing our amplifiers we include f eatures that allow you t o connect your system in v arious ways. The inclusion of f eatures such as Pre-Out and Speaker B connections mean that y ou can flexibly configure your system depending on y our requirements.
7 550A/650A azur Pre-Out connections The Pre-Out sockets are f or connecting to the input sock ets of a power amplifier , such as Cambridge Audio’s 840W model, or active subwoof er. The diagram below shows ho w to connect the amplifier t o an active subwoof er via the Line In inputs on the subw oofer .
8 F ront panel controls Standby/On Switches the unit between Standby mode (indicat ed by dim pow er LED) and On (indicated b y bright power LED). Standby is an eco po wer mode where the power consum ption is less than one watt. The unit is designed so that it can be left safely in Standby mode when not in use.
9 550A/650A azur Remote control Apple device compatibility The 550A and 650A are supplied with an Azur Navigat or remote contr ol that operates both this am plifier and Cambridge Audio Azur range CD play ers. Inser t the supplied AAA batteries t o activate.
