Owner’ s Manual Model 2385-03 T he Sound of Education SM Digital Music Maker Multi-Media Player/Recorder featuring MP3,CD, CD-R, and CD-RW Compatibility Plus Remote Control.

3 Inspecting & Unpacking Although the shipping carton and packaging materials are designed to prevent damage during shipment, you should inspect the carton for any signs of mishandling or damage immediately upon receiving your new unit. Carefully lift the unit from the carton and inspect it for any signs of damage.

5 RADIO OPERA TION (continued) 3. Press and hold CD/TUNER ▲ (14) or CD/TUNER ▼ (15) button until a radio station with sufficient signal strength is found.
6 MONO/STEREO Press ”MONO/STEREO“ (41) to select mono or stereo mode. When stereo mode is selected, ((ST)) will appear on the display (if current station is FM stereo.) Note: Only FM is able to select ”STEREO“ or ”MONO“ MUTE • Press ”MUTE” (6) to cut off the volume, the MUTE display will flash.
7 5. T o remove the disc. press the STOP (23) button and then open the door , handle the disc by its edge, do not touch the playing surface and carefully remove it from the player . CD FUNCTION The 2385A V-03 CD Player will accept 12 cm and 8 cm discs and will read MP3, CD, CD-R and CD-RW media formats.
8 3. T o interrupt the play , press the PLA Y/P AUSE button (19). The Album No., track no. and played time will show on the LCD display as: 4. T o resume the play , press the PLA Y/P AUSE (19) again.
9 PROGRAM PLA Y OF MP3 DISC Up to 64 tracks on a disc can be programmed for play in any desired sequence. - First, select the CD mode and load a disc that you want to program. - The track must be programmed in the STOP mode. - The same track can be programmed more than once.
10 REPEA T PLA Y 1. In the stop or play mode, press the REPEA T (16) once on the remote control, the system will play the current track repeatedly . “REPEA T” will be shown on the display 2. Press the REPEA T (16) twice, the system will play all tracks repeatedly .
11 2. “TITLE FIND/ESP” by folder album: - Press “TITLE FIND/ESP” twice and then search by album. - Press (20) or (21) button to find the letter that matches the first letter . - Hold the (20) or (21) buttons for 1-2 seconds until “Album” disappears.
OTHER FEA TURES AND FUNCTIONS Headphone Jacks. T wo jacks are provided. One 3.5mm jack (26) on the top and one 1/4” phone jack (27) on the rear of the Digital Music Maker cabinet. Extension Speaker Jacks. Stereo extension speakers may be plugged into the 1/4” L (left) and R (right) speaker jacks (28) on the rear of the cabinet.
13 3. Press the P AUSE button again to start recording. When recording requires a microphone, the jack (29) on the rear of the unit may be used with a cabled mic or with the build-in microphone (42) if using the built-in mic, make sure the source to be recorded is no more than 2 feet from the microphone.
14 CARE AND HANDLING OF COMP ACT DISC (continued) 5. Do not expose a disc to high temperature or humidity for an extended period of time. The disc material will soften at around 200 degrees Fahrenheit. Allow the disc to reach room temperature before playing if it has been subjected to extreme cold.
