FIL TER CAR TRIDGE REMO V AL AND CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS T ur n the power to the spa off , then proceed as f ollows: 1. Push down slightly and turn filter basket counter-cloc k- wise to unlock, then pull the bask et and weir out. 2. Carefully pull up the filter car tr idge and bring it out of the spa.

As often as is necessar y wash with mild soap and rinse with clean potable w ater . DO NO T USE SOL VENTS, PETROLE- UM PRODUCTS, ABRASIVE CLEANERS OR STRONG DETERGENTS.
1 . T rip all GFCI breaker s in sub-panel, or main electrical panel. 2. Remov e the equipment compar tment access door . 3. Locate the end of the drain hose and lift it abov e the water le vel. (Requires clipping plastic tie the first time.) 4. Unscrew and remo ve the drain cap .
B ALANCING THE SP A W A TER reaches 120 ppm. If the Alkalinity is high, it should be low- ered by using Spa Do wn (1 oz. at a time). 5. After the Alkalinity is properly adjusted, the pH is next. If the pH is abov e 7.8, use Spa Down (1 oz. at a time) to lower it to the acceptab le range.
W A TER PURIFICA TION WITH OZONE (OPTION) The Caldera Pure W ater Ozone system produces oz one to “ b ur n out ” water contaminants, bacteria and viruses through the process of o xidation. Oz one is continually pro- duced and distributed to the spa during the filtration/skim/filter cycles.

SP A TR OUBLESHOO TING P age 18 • Reset circuit breaker . • Reset GFCI. • Let cool for 1 hour . Motor overload will reset automatically . If problem persists, contact your Caldera dealer . • Disconnect spa and contact your Caldera dealer . • Add water to normal level (1 inch above highest jet).
OPTIONS LCD MESSA GES Ozone (Flashing) - The ozone generator ’ s UV lamp has burned out. Contact your Caldera Dealer f or a replacement. Econom y - “ ECON ” flashing alter nately with the current spa water temperature (the spa is in the economy mode).
