1-1 Chapter 1 Intr oduction The 9M426-02 SmartSwitch Module shown in Figure 1-1, is a thr ee port switch module with two front panel HSIM interfaces and one INB-2 backplane interface. W ith the proper HSIM, this module may be used as an A TM uplink for the SmartSwitch 9000 chassis.

Installing the Smar tSwitch 9000 Module 2-6 The Reset Switch The Reset switch is located under the top plastic tab as shown in Figure 2-3. Use the reset switch to r eset the module’s processor , shutdown (power down) the module, and/or restart the module.
3-1 Chapter 3 Operation The 9M426-02 FDDI SmartSwitch Module is a three port switch module with two front panel HSIM interfaces and one INB-2 backplane interface. This module, with the proper HSIM, may be used for an FDDI, A TM, W AN and other high-speed connectivity for the SmartSwitch 9000 chassis.
