5 OPERATION AND USE BEFORE EACH USE CHECK HUMIDIFI ER PLACEMENT Place the Humidi fier on an el evated, non- metalli c, lint-free, wat erproof, level surfac e at least 2 feet a bove th e floor. • DO NOT pl ace the h umidi fier on carpet o r a towel .

7 A NOTE ABOUT HUMI DITY It is best to keep th e humi dity level at about 40%-50% of rel ative hu midity. In cold weat her, wi ndows and even s ome wal ls may fog or d evelop f rost from excessive i ndoor hu midity. If this occu rs, reduc e the mi st output sett ing to avoi d damage f rom conden sed wat er dripp ing on to windowsi lls.
