- 2 - INTRODUCTION Thank you for choosing this b urley product. All of our pro ducts c arry a CE ma rk which is awarded by an i ndependent test house (notified body ) and shows the fires have be en type tested to meet the essential requirements of the European Gas Appliance Directive and the appro priate British Standards.
- 3 - 3. GENERAL REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Gas appliances must be installed i n ac cordance with the rules in f orce. I n the UK it is the law that a ll gas a ppliance s must be i nstalled by a CORGI registered installer, i n ac cordance with the Gas Safety (Installation and U se) re gulations (as amended).
- 4 - 4.2 D ecide upon the route f or the gas supply and if this i s to be a conce aled supply, s elect a suitable hole in the fire box , remove t he knock out an d lay in the s upply as required. F it the rubber grommet aro und the gas pipe entry to the appliance and seal.

- 6 - 5.3 METHOD TWO - INSET ON HEAR TH OR INSET WALL MOUNTED This method allows f or the fire to be inset into a wall or fire place opening. The applia nce c ase has a 90mm deep spacer that needs to be remove d and the corr esponding deep bracke ts nee d to be taken off the case.
- 7 - Fixing - The a ppliance should be sec ured to the wall usi ng the fixing bracke ts on t he fla nge of the appliance. If it is to be mo unted above t he ground, c are should be taken to e nsure the wall is a ble to take the we ight of the appliance an d that the fixings are o f the c orrect type.
- 8 - 7.0 REASSEMBLY 7.1 To remove the g lass, remove the 4 nuts i n t he side frame s and pivotin g it out from the bottom remove glass from its top channel . Refitting is done in revers e order. 7.2 REVERSIBLE SIDE CHEEKS The appliance has side c heek s that are plain on one side and bri ck effect on the other.

- 10 - automatically l ight the pilo t light, mo nitor its sa fety f or about 20 seconds and then it will light the burner on high flame. To alternate between high and low fl ame use the flam e buttons on t he right hand side of the handset. To turn the fire OFF press the ● button on the top left hand side of the remote handset.
- 11 - 10.4 FIREFRO NTS The design of these affec t combustion, therefore only the corr ect front supplied with the appliance may be fitted. 10.5 FIREGUA RDS A fir eguard is not supplied with this app.
- 12 - Light t he fire using the method i n the i nstructions and ensure that the pilot lights consiste ntly an d the pilot flame enve lopes the thermo couple. The pilot should hold in 10 seconds. Turn c ontrol to main burner, this should light smoothly within 10 s econds.
- 13 - This is not a dr yin g appliance. Do no t place clothing or other arti cles, on or ag a inst it. Do not store or use flamm a ble substances on or ne ar the heater. Do not spra y aerosols on or near the heater. If any material, such as plast ic, melts o nto the surface of the glass, turn the heater off and allow it to co ol.
- 14 - To light the fire, f irst ensure the red knob is turned clockwise to OFF . Press the left hand (red) control knob for several seconds then turn slowly a nticlockwise to the ignition position. A click will be heard and the pilot (under right side of fuel bed) should light.
- 15 - CLEANING AND MAIN TENANCE Ensure the appliance is switched off and cooled down before cleaning. The case and surround are best cleaned with a damp cl oth a nd wiped dry to avoid smearing.
