When charging the battery from flat, it will take about one minute f or the handset display to power up. The charge capacity of rechar geable batteries will reduce with time as they wear out, giving the handset less talk/standby time. Eventually they will need to be replaced.

Navigating the menus Y our B T Domus has an easy to use menu system. Each menu has a list of options, which you can see on the menu map on the following page. When the handset is switched on and in standby: 1. Press Menu to open the main menu. 2. Then use or buttons t o scroll through the available options.

Receive a call When you receive a call, the phone rings. The display shows the caller’ s number if available or the caller’ s name it matches an entr y in the phonebook. If you do not have a Caller Display ser vice, the screen shows External Call .
Handsfree Handsfree lets you talk to your caller without holding the handset. It also enables other people in the room to listen to your conversation over the loudspeaker . During a handsfree call, press or to change the volume. Make a handsfree call 1.
Redial the last number called 1. Press the las t number you called is displayed. 2. Press to dial. Redial a number fr om the redial list 1. Press the las t number you called is displayed. 2. Press or to scroll to the number you want. 3. Press to dial.
Delete a redial number 1. Press . The last number dialled is displayed. 2. Scroll or to the number you want. 3. Press Options and scroll or to Delete Entry . Press OK . Press Yes to confirm. 4. Press to exit and return t o standby . Delete all redial numbers 1.
Paging/Find handset 1. Press on the base. All handsets registered to the base will ring for up to 30 seconds. 2. Press on the base again to stop the ringing or press any button on the handset. Phonebook Y ou can stor e up to 255 names and numbers in the phonebook.
View an entry 1. Press Names . The first entr y is displayed. 2. Scroll or to the entr y you want. 3. Press Options and scroll to Show Details . 4. Press OK to display the number . 5. Press Edit to edit the entry or Back to ret urn to the previous level.
5. Press Clear to delete digits, use the k eypad to enter a new number then press OK to save or Back to ret urn to the previous menu level. Delete an entry 1. Press Names . 2. Scroll or to the entr y you want. 3. Press Options and scroll to Delete Entry and press OK .

Y ou can stop your BT Domus fr om aut omatically dialling the switchboard access number by switching the access code off . For security reasons you may not want long numbers which may contain bank account details, phonecard PIN number etc… to be added to the dialled calls list.

If you enter the incorrect PIN code you will be allowed one further attempt, if it is still incorrect you will hear "Incorrect security code" and your BT Domus will hang up. If no button is pressed f or 8 seconds or more, your B T Domus will hang up.

Sent and saved texts are stored in the Outbox Y our BT Domus’ s outbox is like a redial list. It holds copies of sent and saved messages. When the Outbox is full, a new message replaces the oldest. Y our BT Domus can stor e up to a total 50 text messages in the Inbox and Outbox.
