Set ti ng Up th e Machi ne 4 STE P 1 1 1 Remove the packin g material s fr om the machine Import ant Sav e all p acking m aterials and th e carton in case you have to ship your machine. Im prop er Set up D O NOT plug in the AC po wer cord yet . 1 Remove t he pac king tape f rom t he out s i de o f the machine.
Setti ng Up the Ma chin e 5 2 Inst alling th e toner cart ridges 1 Unpack the toner cartridges and rock each toner cartridge from side t o side 5 to 6 times. 2 Pull off the prot ective cover. 3 Hold the handle of the t oner cartridge a nd slide it into the drum uni t.
Set ti ng Up th e Machi ne 6 STE P 1 3 Loa d pape r in t he pap er tray 1 Pull the paper tray completely out of the machine. 2 While pressing the green paper-guide release lever ( 1), slide the paper guides to fit the paper size. Make sure that the gu ides are firmly in the sl ots .
Setti ng Up the Ma chin e 7 4 In stall t he power cord 1 Make sure that the machin e’s power switch is off. Remove the l a bel covering the AC power inlet . 2 Connect the AC power c ord to t he machi ne. 3 Plug the AC p ower cord i nto an AC o utlet.
