- 5 - 1. SELECT BLOWER OPTION AND INST ALLA TION TYPE 1.2 D UCTED I NST ALLA TION The Broan Elite E60000 Series range hood includes many configurations: hoods with single or double internal blow ers (included with the hood), or hoods using e xter nal blo wers.

- 7 - 3. PREP ARE THE INST ALLA TION (CONT’D) Cut-out the openings f or duct ( A ) and power cab le ( B ), in cabinet or wall, according to the direction of discharge chosen.
- 8 - 5. CHOOSE THE OPENING(S) (INTERNAL BLOWER(S) HOOD ONL Y) Remov e the knock out(s) for the chosen opening(s) (horizontal at the bac k of the hood or vertical on top). See illustrations bel ow . V ERTICAL DISCHARGE H ORIZONT AL DISCHARGE 6. REMOVE FIL T ERS AND THE GREASE DRIP RAIL A.
Rotate the blo wer and engage its flange in the back w all retaining brac ket. Using a 5/16” sock et and the screws pre viously remov ed, secure the blo wer to the hood. Slide the blo wer to disengage its flange from the retaining brac ket. - 9 - 8.

For ducting through top of hood, e xisting plate remains in place on inside back of hood. F or ducting through back of hood, remov e existing plate from inside bac k of hood and remov e the rough-in plate from the top of hood.

Wash more often if y our cooking style generates greater grease—lik e fr ying f oods or wok cooking. Remov e baffle filters by pushing them to wards the back of hood and rotating filters do wnward.
