21 Operation Operation When and How Often to Mo w The time of da y and condition of the grass g reatly aff ect the results you’ll get when mo wing. F or the best results, f ollo w these guidelines: 1. Mow when the g rass is between three and fiv e inches high.

25 Maintenance MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE & PR OCEDURES The f ollowing schedule should be f ollo wed f or normal care of your rider and mower . Y ou will need to keep a record of your oper ating time. Deter mining operating time is easily accomplished by observing the elapsed time recorded by the hour meter .
26 www .ferrisindustries.com Maintenance CHECKING / ADDING FUEL T o add fuel: 1. Remov e the fuel cap . 2. Fill the tank to the bottom of the filler neck. This will allow f or fuel e xpansion. NO TE: Do not overfill. Ref er to your engine man ual f or specific fuel recommendations.
27 Maintenance Regular Maintenance CHECK HYDRA ULIC OIL LEVEL NO TE: Do not open the h ydraulic reservoir unless oil is being added. 1. Lift up the seat plate to gain access to the oil reser voir compartment. 2. Look at the h ydraulic oil reservoir (A, Figure 13) and obser ve the oil le v el.

SUSPENSION ADJUSTMENT The shock assemb ly can be adjusted to v ar y the amount of pre-load applied to the springs.
