8 Setti n g Up Conn ect t he speak ers CAUTIO N: Before maki ng any conn ections , turn off you r receiver or ampli fier and un plug it from the AC power ( mains) ou tlet. Not doing so may resul t in damag e to your s ystem. CAUTIO N: Never use bro ken or frayed wiring, whi ch can res ult in damage to y our co mponents.
9 Setting Up Make the connections At the connect ion end of the spe aker , push one terminal le ver and inse rt th e appropr iate wire (Fig ure 6). 10 Setti n g Up Chec k the connec t ions Make sure each connectio n is made po sitive to positive (+ to +) and negati ve to negati ve (– to –). Ch eck to be s ur e that no loose strands of wir e touch acr o ss terminals. Bridge d wires can short- cir cuit and damage the e lectrical componen ts.
