6 – English I NTRODUCTION Overview Thank you for purchasing the SoundLi nk Air ® digital music system. This system lets you enjoy clear , r oom-filling sound, streamed wire lessly via AirPlay using your iPad, iPhone, iPod touch or any computer running iT unes.
English – 7 G ETTING S TARTED Connecting the system to power What you need: 1. Place the system close to your computer . Keep all system parts close by so they are easy to reach when you need them. 2. Connect the system to power: A. Attach the AC adapter for yo ur region to the power supply .
8 – English G ETTING S TART ED System setup The SoundLink ® Air system requires a connection to your Wi-Fi ® network to receive AirPlay streamed audio. The foll owi ng step s guide you through the preferred method for setting up your system. Note: For another setup method, see “Alt ernate setup method” on pa ge 15.

10 – English G ETTING S TART ED B. Select your Wi-Fi network - This field shou ld displa y the name of your wire- less network. If you have more than one, click the triangle ( ) and select the network you want from the dr op-down list.
English – 11 O PERATION Power on/of f T o turn the system on There ar e two ways to turn th e system on When the system tur ns on, the Wi-Fi indica tor changes from dim b lue to bright blue, indicating that your syst em has a Wi-Fi connection. T o turn the system off On the remote, press the power button to turn the system off.
12 – English O PERATION T o listen to str eamed audio: 1. Start a music app on your AirPlay compatible device or computer . Make sure it is connected to the same Wi-Fi netw ork as the SoundLink Air system. 2. T o make sur e the initial volume is not too loud, move the volume slider in the musi c app to within the lower thir d of the scale.

English – 15 C ARE AND M AINTENANCE Alternate setup method Using this method you c an set up your SoundLink ® Air System by first joining its own built-in Wi-Fi ® network and then connecting to your home Wi -Fi network. Note: Before you start, disconnect power and an y cables from your So undLink Air system.
16 – English C ARE AND M AINTENANCE 8. Select your home Wi-Fi ne twork fr om the drop -down list, enter your passwor d and tap (or click) Connect . The Wi-Fi indicator may briefly blink bl ue and then turn on solid blue to indicate a successful conne ction to your home Wi-Fi network.

22 – English C ARE AND M AINTENANCE Performing a factory r eset A factory reset clears all so ur ce, volume, and networ k settings from the SoundLink Air system and r eturns it to its origin al factory settings. T o r eset your system , press and hold the Reset button on the bottom panel for 10 seconds.
