R Adaptec XHub2 Quick Start Guide.
1 Bef ore Y ou Begin T o use your Adaptec XHub2 ® , you need: ■ A PC-compatible notebook or desktop compute r with: ■ A 266-MHz or faster pr ocessor ■ Wi n d o w s ® XP or W indows 2000 ■ An available USB port ■ One high-quality USB cable for each USB devic e you wish to connect to your XHub2.
2 Plugging in Y our XHub2 Follow the picture to connect your XHub2. Y ou don’t have to power off yo ur computer before connecting the hub. Y ou do not need to instal l any device dr ivers. When your XHub2 is con nected and y our computer is power ed on, your hub is ready for use.
3 Plugging in Y our De vices Follow this picture to connect your USB 1.1 and 2.0 devices to your XHub2. Y ou can use either USB port on your hub. Note: USB 1.1 devices won’t operate at USB 2.0 speeds, even if they’r e co nnected to a USB 2.0 hub or adapter .
