English 1 How This Manual Is Organized This manual cont ains several sections: •T h e Getting S tar ted section describes th e features and functionality of the range, including a description of ho w to set up the ra nge and operate the con- trol panel.

W ait until gas dissipates befor e using the appliance. • If you smell gas, your inst aller has n ot done a proper jo b of checking for leaks. If the conn ections are not perfec tly tight, yo u can have a small leak and, therefore, a faint smell.
Safety English 4 a) The burning of gas cooking fuel and the elimination o f soil during self- cleaning can generate sm all amounts of Ca rbon Monoxide. b) The fiberglass insulation in self-c lean ovens gives off very small amo unts of formaldehyde during the first severa l cleaning cycles.

Getting S t arted English 6 Part s and Accessories Sealed Gas Burner s The cooktop ha s sealed gas burners. As a result, there are no p arts un der the cooktop to clean, disassembl e or adjust. S pills stay on top of the cooktop where they are easier to wipe up .
Getting S tarted English 7 may not light or the flame may not burn comp letely or correctly . The appliance is equipped with two types of burners: st a ndard and d iffusion.
Getting S t arted English 8 Flat Oven Racks The racks are designed with a stop so they will stop before coming completely out of the oven and not tilt. CAUTION T o avoid burns, place oven racks in desired positions before turning oven on. Always use oven mitts wh en the oven is warm.
Getting S tarted English 9 Removing and Replacing Note: The full extension rack must be in th e closed position when remo ving and replacing. Grasp the en ti re rack (both sections). 1. Grasp the bottom section and pull straight out. 2. Once the stop is r eached, grasp the to p section and pul l straight out until the second stop is reached.
Getting S t arted English 10 Cleaning Clean rack with hot sudsy water . Dry thoroughly . For stubborn dirt, use a soap filled steel wool pad. DO NOT clean the rack in the se lf-cleaning oven. Half Oven Rack (Some Models) The half oven rack can be used as a simple flat rack or as a half-sized rack.
Getting S tarted English 1 1 Self Cleaning The oven features a self-cleaning func tion that eliminates the manua l labor involved w ith cleaning y our oven . Indicators and Other Features Beep - Signals that more informa tion must be entered or confirms the r eceipt of an entry .
Getting S t arted English 12 Y ou control the operatio n of the range by using the touch p ads, dial and control knobs. The touchpads, in con junction with the dial, are used to select an oven mode, set the oven t emperat ure, set t he time(s ) and to se t up your r ange.
Getting S tarted English 13 4. Press T ime and the clock is now set. Note: If operation is not completed, the oven will beep periodica lly as a reminder to set clock time. Press OFF . Changing the Clock 1. Press T ime. TIMER 1 flashes in display . 2. T urn knob to se lect CLOCK.
Getting S t arted English 14 Access Demo Mode The demo mode is for appliance store use on ly . Change the Display Language Language choices are English, S panish, an d French. English is the default lan- guage. Note: The SELECT FUNCTIONS menu is displayed in English only , regardless of which langua ge is selected.
Getting S tarted English 15 Setting the Sabbath Fea ture for the Oven Only 1. V erify that the ov en is turned off. 2. Access SELECT FUNCTIONS Menu. 3. T urn knob clockwise unti l SABBA TH OPTION appears. 4. Press ST ART . BAKE will show in di splay and temper ature will flash.
English 16 4. T urn knob to select ON or OFF . 5. Press S tart to accept new selection. Before Using the Appliance for the First T ime • Remove all packing materials an d labels from range. Re move packing ma teri- als from inside the oven and inside the drawer .

Operation - Oven English 18 9. The display alterna tes between the cooking mode and preheat. The preheated temperatur e is displayed, star ting at 100ºF . The actual tempera- ture increases until se t temperature is reached, at which point the oven will beep.
Operation - Oven English 19 2. T urn knob to select CLEAR TIMER 1(2) . Press TIME. 3. If T ime p ad is not pr essed, range will beep and display will continue flashing. 4. Press TIME to return to the main scr een. Cancelling If operation is not complete d, the oven will beep periodi cally as a reminder to set time.

The heat is circulated through out the oven by the co nvection fa n. Use dehydrate to dry and /or preserve foods such as fr uits, veget ables and herbs.

When soil builds up , use the self-clean function as explain in “Self Cleaning the Oven” on p age 34. See “Oven Cleaning Ch art” on pag e 33 for instructions for specific surfaces and items.

Use a soapy sponge or plastic scrubber or a deter- gent-filled S.O.S. ® p ad. Hand-clean the ove n door edge, oven fr ont frame and up to 1-1/2 inches inside the frame with detergent and hot water .
