English 1 How This Manual Is Organized This manual contains several sections: •T h e Getting Started section describes the featur es and functionality of the range, including a description of how to set up the rang e and operate the con- trol panel.
Safety English 2 a) Never leave surface units unatten ded at high settings. Boilovers cause smoking and greasy spillovers that may ignite. Heat oils slowly on low or medium settings. b) Always turn hood ON when cooking at high heat or when flambéing food (i.
Safety English 3 • If a burner goes out and gas escapes, open windows and doors. Wait until gas dissipates before using the appliance. • If you smell gas, your installer has not do ne a proper job of checking for leaks. If the connections are not perfectly t ight, you can have a small leak and, therefore, a faint smell.
Safety English 4 a) The burning of gas cooking fuel and the elimination of soil during self- cleaning can generat e small amounts of Carbon Monoxide. b) The fiberglass insulation in self-clean ovens gives off very small amounts of formaldehyde during the first seve ral cleaning cycles.

Getting Started English 6 Sealed Gas Burner s The cooktop has sealed gas burners. As a result, there are no parts under the cooktop to clean, disassemble or adjust. Spills stay on top of the cooktop where they are easier to wipe up. Burner Caps The cooktop has four bu rner caps.
Getting Started English 7 Flat Oven Racks The racks are designed with a stop so they will stop before coming completely out of the oven and not tilt. CAUTION To avoid burns, place oven racks in desired positions before turning oven on. Always use oven mitts when the oven is warm.
Getting Started English 8 F Number Codes -These codes display when ther e is a problem with the r ange. Control (Panel) Oven Control Panel You control the op eration of the ra nge by using the touch pa ds, dial and control knobs.
Getting Started English 9 The knobs are used to control the heat level of the burn ers. Push down and turn to the symbol to light and then to the desired heat setting. See the sections on Using the Cooktop and Using the Oven for detailed instruc- tions.
Getting Started English 10 Change the Beep Volume The volume of the control beep can be change d from LOW (softest) to HIGH (loudest). The control default for beep volume is Medium. 1. Access SELECT FUNCTIONS Menu. 2. Turn knob clockwise until VOLUME is displayed.
Getting Started English 11 5. Press START to accept a temperature change. Reset the Factory Set- tings This feature is used to change all the “S elect Functions” settings back to the origi- nal factory settings (or defaults). 1. Access SELECT FUNCTIONS Menu.
English 12 This section explains how to operate the cooktop. See “Getting the Most Out of Your Cooktop” on page 15 for guid elines to improve cooktop results. About the Cooktop Use the cooktop for surface cooking applications such as boiling, frying, simmer- ing, steaming and sauteing.
English 13 Turning the Burner off Turn knob clockwise to the OFF position. Note: a “pop” may be heard when the burner is turned off. The “pop” may be louder with LP gas than with natural gas. This is normal. This section explains how to operate the oven .

Note: If the timer appears, you have sele cted either BROIL, WARM HI, WARM LO, or PROOF. The timed cook function only operates in the BAKE mode at tem- peratures of 20 0° F or higher.

Try the fol- lowing tips to decrease boil time: • Use a lid. • Use a pan that is appropriately sized fo r the amount of water and the size of the burner.

Tight Fitting Lids – A lid shortens cooking/boiling time by holding heat inside the pot. Cookware Tips • Use of pots and pans with rounded (either conca ve or convex) warped or dented bo ttoms shou ld be avoi ded.
Getting the Most Out of Your Appliance English 18 • Dark, rough or dull pans will absorb heat resulting in browner, crisper crust. Some manufacturers recommend reduci ng temperature 25° F when using these pans. Follow manufa cturer recommendations.
English 19 For Best Results: • Preheat oven 3-4 minutes. Do not preheat for more than 5 minutes. • Steaks and Chops should be at least 3/4” thick • Brush fish and poultry with bu tter or oil to pr event sticking • Use the broil pan and grid include d with your range • Do not cover the broiler grid with foil.
Cleaning and Maintenance English 20 Cleaning Guidelines Avoid these Cleaners • Glass cle aners whic h contain a mmonia or chlorine b leach. Th ese ingre dients may permanently etch or stain th e cooktop. • Caustic Cleaners • Oven cleaners such as Easy Off® may etch the cooktop surface.
Cleaning and Maintenance English 21 Cleaning - Oven Daily Cleaning Daily cleaning of the inside of the oven is not necessary. When soil builds up, use the self-clean function as explained in “S elf Cleaning the Oven” on page 22. See “Oven Cleaning Chart” on page 22 for instru ctions for specific surfaces and items.
Cleaning and Maintenance English 22 • Flammable cleaners such as lighter fluid or WD-40 Self Cleaning the Oven During self-cleaning, the oven uses a ve ry high temperature to burn away food soil and grease. • Do not clean parts or accesso ries in the self-clean oven.
Cleaning and Maintenance English 23 4. Review illustration above. Some areas of the oven must be cleaned by hand before the cycle begins. Use a soapy spon ge or plastic scrubber or a deter- gent-filled S.O.S. ® pad. Hand-clean the oven door edge, oven front frame and up to 1-1/2 inches inside the frame with detergent a nd hot water.
Cleaning and Maintenance English 24 5. Turn knob until DELAYED CLEAN mode appears. Press START. 6. SELF CLEAN END appears in the display. 7. Turn knob to enter the time of day you want the self-clean to end: Set hours, press time, set minutes. 8. Press START.
Cleaning and Maintenance English 25 Oven Maintenance Removing the Door 1. Be sure to read the above WARNING before attempting to remove oven door. 2. Open the door all the way. 3. Flip levers on hinges (one on each side) toward you. 4. Close the door until it stops.
English 26 Replacing an Oven Light Each light assembly consists of a remova ble lens, a light bulb and a light socket housing that is fixed in place. 1. Read t he WARNING above. 2. Turn off power at the main po wer supply (fuse or breaker box). 3. Remove the lens by unscrewing it.
Service English 27 The Oven Surface burners do not light • Gas is tu rned off. Make sure the gas shut-off va lve is in the ON position and the gas supply to the house is not shut off. • Unit is not hooked up to the gas supply. Call gas company. • Plug is not completely inserted into outlet or the house wiring is incorrect.

Pour de meilleurs résultats avec le appareil Français 20 • Utiliser le réglage réchaud pour garder les aliments chauds prêts à servir. • CHAUD ÉLEVÉ est 190 °F (88 °C) et CHAUD BAS est 150 °F (65° C). • Les aliments qui doivent rester humides devraient être couverts.
