6 Check Cable Ad justment • With the clut ch lever disengage d, pull star ter rope slowly sev eral time s. The tine s should no t turn. If they tur n, th e cable is not adj usted properly . • To adjust the cable, loos en the nut near the top of the cable an d unscre w the cabl e to provid e additiona l s lack in wire .
7 Choke Lever The choke le ver i s located ne ar the thr ottle cont rol. It is used to enr ich the fuel mix ture when sta rting a cold engine . Starte r Handle The sta rter han dle is l ocated on the e ngine and is used to m anuall y star t the eng ine.
8 Controlling Speed And Tilling Depth Wheel Yoke Adjustment Place whe el yoke so that the wheel s are forw ard (nearest po int betwee n wheels and tines) for sha llow tilling , cultivat ing and trans port. Th e forward spee d will increa se. Turn yoke arou nd (farthe st point between wheels and tines) for deep tilling.

10 SECTION 6: MAINTAINI NG YOUR TILLER WARNING: Disconnect the spark plug wire and ground it against the en gine before per forming any repairs or maintenance.
