7 IMPORT ANT : Check the a djustments as instruct ed and mak e an y final adj ustments necessary befo re opera ting the unit. Check all n uts and bolts fo r tightness.
8 Be familiar w ith all the control s on the snow thro wer and their proper operation. Know ho w to st op the machine and disengage them quickly . Never mak e adjustments t o the chute assembl y unless both auger and driv e controls are disengaged and the operator is standing beside the unit.
9 Bef ore Star ting Engine Engine Oil The eng ine is ship ped wit h oil in it . Check t he oil level before first u se. 1 . Stop eng ine and wait several minutes b efore chec king oil level. Remove oil fill cap an d dipst ick . 2. Wipe di psti ck cle an, inser t it into oil fi ll hole an d tighten se curely .

11 5 Operation Do not o ver-tig hten the cable. This may prev ent the auger from disengag ing and compromise the safety of the snow th rower . Stop engine b y mo ving throttle lev er to st op position and wait f or all mo ving parts to stop before using the clean- out tool.
12 Before lubr icating, repairing, or inspecting, disen gage all contro ls and stop engine. W ait until all mo ving parts have come to a complete stop. Disc onnect the spark plug w ire and ground it a gainst the engine to pre vent unin tended star ting.
