PRECAUTIONS AND GENERAL INFORMATION 3 WARNING: Electric Shock Hazard All servicing requiring access to no n-in sulated components must be performed by qualified service personnel. Do not open any access pan els which requir e the use of tools. Failure to heed this warn- ing can result in electri cal shock.
INSTALLATION 4 READ THIS CAREFULL Y BEFORE ST ARTING THE I NST ALLA TION Unpack the unit. Inspect all component s for completeness and condition. Ensure that all packing materials have bee n remove d from the unit. Verify that the Spray Head Gasket and Spray Disk are prop erly installed.
INSTALLATION (continued) 5 WARNING SHOCK HAZARD Brewer must be properly grounded to prevent possible shock hazard . DO NOT assume a plumbing line will provide such a ground. Electrical shock will cause death or serio us inj ury. IMPORTANT: Supply power must match nameplate for voltage and phase.

START-UP For initial start-up, or if the bre we r ha s n ot been used for an extended period of time: ♦ Be sure spray disk and brew gasket are prop erly installe d in the brew head. ♦ Be sure the water sup ply is properly conne cted and the water supply valve is turned ON .
OPERATION (continued) WATER HEATER Water temperature is sen s ed by a therm obulb inserted into the water tank. This temperature signal is fed to the mechanical thermostat. The temperature setpoint is adjustable. Heating element is energized by the thermostat.
BREWING TEA 8 A. PREPARATION Place one (1) genuin e Bloomfield paper filter into the brew ch ambe r. Add an amount of fresh tea leaves to the brew chamber ap propriate to the brew volume. NOTE: the brewer can bre w any volume between 3 and 5 gallon s, and is factory set for a 3 ga llons brew volume.
CLEANING INSTRUCTIONS PROCEDURE: Clean Tea Brewer PRECAUTIONS: Disconnect br ewer from electric power. Allow brewer to cool. FREQUENCY: Daily TOOLS: Mild Detergent, Clean Soft Cloth or Sponge Bristle Brush, Bottle Brush 1. Disconnect brewer from electric power.

SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS CAUTION: SHOCK HAZARD Opening access panels on this brew may expose uninsulated electrical components. Disconnect brewer from electrical power before removing any panel. NOTE ; Time and temperature cont rols may be accessed without removing cabinet panels b y removing the appropriate hole plug from the top wrap.
SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS (continued) 12 TEMPERATURE ADJUSTMENT Energize brewer and allow unit to heat. When the READY TO BREW light first glows, read the temperature. Thermostat may be adjusted by removi ng the right b utton plug. Carefully check the water temperat ure at the outlet of the brew chamber.
SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS (continued) IMPORTANT: Water p ressure must be between 20 p.s.i and 90 p.s.i. flowing pressure. If water pressure exceeds this value, or if water pressure varies greatly, a pressure regulator must be installed in the water supply line.

SERVICING INSTRUCTIONS (continued) 15 CAUTION: CHEMICAL BURN HAZARD Deliming chemical s are ca ustic. Wear appropriate protective gloves and goggles during this procedure. Never siphon deliming chemicals or soluti o ns by mouth. This operation should only be performed by qualified and experienced service personnel.
