10 Adjust ing the volume The volume can be adjusted in steps from 0 (off) to 66 (maximum). ➮ T o increase the volume, turn the volume control to the right. ➮ T o reduce the volume, turn the volume control to the left. Adjusting t he swit ch-on volume The volume le v el of the de vice when it is switched on can be adjusted.

The length of the sam- ples can be set, in the menu, to between 5 and 30 seconds.
16 As soon as a station of the selected type is f ound, the de vice switches from the present station, or out of CD , cassette tape, MiniDisc or CD changer mode (depending on how y our radio is equipped) to the station with the se- lected program type .

22 Naming CDs In order to recognise your CDs more eff ec- tively , the car radio allows y ou to give individ- ual names to up to 99 CDs. The names ma y hav e a maxim um of se v en char acters . If you attempt to assign more than 99 names , the display will sho w “FULL ”.

24 TIM E C LOC K - Time Set ting t he t ime The clock time can be automatically set b y means of the RDS signal. If you cannot re- ceive an RDS station, or if the RDS station to which you are listening does not support this function, it is also possible to set the time manually .
