Even so , dangers may occur if you do not observe the safety notes in these instructions. These instructions contain important informa- tion to easily and safely install and operate the car sound system.

6 Placing the device in opera tion Attaching the con trol panel 쏅 Push the control panel into the bracket at the right edge of the device. 쏅 Push the control panel carefully into the left bracket until it clicks into place. Removing the contr ol panel 쏅 Press the button 1 to unlock the control panel.

8 Radio mode Notes: • Up to 5 stations (Helsinki 220 BT and Sydney 220 BT ) or up to 7 stations (London 120 and Melbourne 120) can be stored in each memory bank.
9 Radio mode With Tra velstore, y ou can store 5 or 7 FM stations in the FMT memory bank in all reception areas . In the reception areas "USA " , "S-AMERICA " and " THAILAND" , you can also store 5 or 7 AM stations in the AMT memory bank.
10 CD/MP3/WMA mode Basic information Helsinki 220 BT and London 120: This car sound system can be used to pla y audio CDs (CDDA ) and CD-R/R Ws with audio , MP3 or WMA les as well as MP3 or WMA les on USB data carriers.
11 Inserting/ejec ting a CD (Helsinki 220 BT and London 120) Inserting a CD Risk of severe damage to the CD drive! Noncircular contoured CDs (shape CDs) and CDs with a diameter of 8 cm (mini CDs) must not be used. W e accept no responsibility for any damage to the CD drive that may occur as a r esult of the use of unsuitable CDs.
12 Notes: • If the inser ted memory card cannot be played, "SD ERROR" is brie y display ed. • The time required f or reading in the data depends on the design and size of the memory card. 13 Switching displa y 쏅 Press the DIS button A once or several times to switch among these displays: Opera- tion Display Meaning CD* T01 00:15 T rack number and playing time T01 03:37 T rack number .
14 Bluetooth® Bluetooth® (Helsinki 220 BT and Sy dney 220 B T ) Y ou can connect the car sound system via Blue- tooth® with other Bluetooth®-ready devices , such as cell phones or MP3 players .
15 Bluetooth® 쏅 Press the button 7 to pair a cell phone. The display shows "P AIRING" and the Blue - tooth® symbol is ashing. The car sound system can now be rec ognised by a Blue- tooth® cell phone for appr ox. 2 minutes and connected.
16 Bluetooth® T elephone func tions Answering/rejecting an incoming phone call With an incoming call , the display alternately shows "IN CALL " and the number of the caller . The current audio source is mut ed and a ring tone is played via the loudspeakers of the car sound sys- tem.
17 • Y ou can cancel the voice rec ognition by pressing the button = . • Please note that the duration of the voice recognition is limited and depending on the respective cell phone.
18 Selecting tracks 쏅 Press the / button 7 brie y to change to the previous/next track. Interrupting playback 쏅 Press the 3 > button to interrupt the playback ("P AUSE") or to continue it.
19 Unpairing all paired devices 쏅 I n the Bluetooth® menu, select the "DELETE ALL P AIRED DEVICES" menu item. 쏅 Press the button 7 to unpair all cell phones or streaming devices. The display brie y shows " ALL DEVICES DELETED" .
20 Sound settings | User settings F ADER Fr ont/rear volume distribution. Settings: R9 (rear) to F9 (front). 쏅 Press the button 7 to open the submenu. 쏅 Turn the volume c ontrol 4 to perform the setting. X-BASS Increase of bass at low volume. Settings: OFF , 1, 2, 3 (highest increase).
21 TUN BAND (band selection) Activating or deactivating memor y banks. Memor y banks that can be deactivated: Region Memory banks EUROPE FM2, F MT , MW USA FM2, F MT , AM, AMT S-AMERICA FM2, F MT , AM, AMT THAILAND FM2, F MT , AM, AMT Settings in each case: ON, OFF .
22 SCROLL Select the display of scrolling text (e. g. when displaying MP3 le names) either as single display or continued display . S ettings: 1X (single display), ON (continued display). 쏅 Press the button 7 to open the submenu. 쏅 Turn the volume c ontrol 4 to change be- tween the settings.
23 CL OCK SET Setting the time. 쏅 Press the button 7 to open the submenu. 쏅 Press the / button 7 to change between minutes and hours. The minute or hour display ashes if it is se - lected. 쏅 Turn the volume c ontrol 4 to adjust the minutes or hours.
