7 FRANÇAIS ENGLISH ESP AÑOL PORTUGUÊS Compact Drive M P3 As an alternative to a CD changer , you can connect a Compact Drive MP3 to access MP3 music tracks. If you con- nect a Compact Drive MP3, you will first need to use a computer to store the MP3 music tracks on the Microdrive(tm) hard disk inside the Compact Drive MP3.
8 ➮ Press the button 2 . The control panel latch mechanism opens. ➮ First, pull the control panel straight off the unit and then out towards the left. (For further details, read the safety information in the “ Notes and accessories ” chapter)! ● The unit switches off after the con- trol panel is removed.
9 FRANÇAIS ENGLISH ESP AÑOL PORTUGUÊS Adjusting t he volume The volume can be adjusted in stages from 0 (off) to 50 (maximum). ➮ To increase the volume, turn the volume control 1 to the right. ➮ To decrease the volume, turn the volume control 1 to the left.
10 ➮ Press the softkey 4 that is as- signed to the “ TEL ” display item for the telephone volume or “ NA VI ” display item for the voice output. ➮ Set the required volume using the volume control 1 . ➮ Press the joystick OK 7 or the MENU button 8 to close the menu.

14 Radio mode Set t ing t he t uner To ensure that the tuner works proper- ly , the device must be configured for your region. Y ou can choose between Europe and the USA. By default, the tuner is set to the region in which the device was sold. If you experience prob- lems with radio reception, please check these settings.

16 Set t ing t he sensit ivit y of st ation seek tuning Y ou can choose whether to only tune into stations with a strong reception or to also tune into those with a weak re- ception. ➮ press the TUNER button < in ra- dio mode. The radio functions menu appears in the display .
17 FRANÇAIS ENGLISH ESP AÑOL PORTUGUÊS Programme type ( PT Y) Besides transmitting the station name, some FM stations also provide informa- tion on the type of programme that they are broadcasting. Y our radio can receive and display this information.
18 Opt imising radio recept ion T reble reduct ion feature during interference ( H ICUT) The HICUT function improves the sound during poor radio reception. If interfer- ence occurs, the treble is automatically reduced thus reducing the interference level.
19 FRANÇAIS ENGLISH ESP AÑOL PORTUGUÊS CD mode Y ou can use this unit to play standard CDs with a diameter of 12 cm. CD-Rs (CDs that you have “ burned ” yourself) and CD-RWs can generally also be played. Due to the varying qual- ity of CDs, Blaupunkt cannot guaran- tee that this will work properly .
20 F ast searching (audible) To fast search backwards or forwards, ➮ Press and hold the joystick 7 in one direction (up and right for the next track or down and left for the previous track) until fast searching backwards/forwards begins. Random track play ( M IX ) ➮ Press the softkey 4 assigned to the “ MIX ” display item.
