8 T o “train” a new K eyCard as a replacement for a lost or un usab le K e yCard: ➮ Inser t the remaining v alid K eyCard and s witch on the unit. ➮ Press the MENU button 8 . ➮ Press the soft ke y 4 with the displa y allocation “KC”. ➮ Press the soft ke y 4 with the displa y allocation “LRN”.

10 First use If the unit is being connected f or the first time or if the power supply to the unit has been interrupted, the Install menu will appear .

14 Radio mode This unit is equipped with an RDS radio re- ceiver . Some FM stations broadcast a signal that contains not only the programme , but also inf or mation such as the station name and pro- gramme type (PTY). If it is receivab le and the RDS function is on, then the station name will appear on the dis- pla y .

20 Swit ching between stereo and mono In the e vent of poor reception, you can select radio pla yback in mono . After each time the car radio is s witched on, playbac k is in ste- reo . ➮ in radio mode , press the TUNE button > . The Radio Function menu will appear on the display .

22 CD Mode Y ou can use this unit to play standard CDs with a diameter of 12 cm. Generally , so-called CD-Rs (home-recorded CDs) can be play ed, but due to differences in CD quality , Blaupunkt cannot vouch f or per- fect perf or mance. Rewritable CDs (CD-R Ws) cannot be pla yed on this unit.

Note: The scanning time is adjustable . Read about setting the scanning time in the section “Set- ting the scanning time” in the chapter “Radio mode”.
24 Clearing preset tracks In order to clear individual trac ks from the list of f a v ourite tracks f or a CD , ➮ s witch on TPM; ➮ select the trac k y ou wish to clear; ➮ hold down the soft k e y 4 with the dis- pla y allocation “CLR” for appro x.

26 Stopping R E PE A T T o stop the repeat function f or the current trac k or CD , ➮ press the soft ke y 4 with the display allocation “RPT” repeatedly until “RPT OFF” appears briefly on the display . Random play ( MIX ) T o pla y the tracks on the current CD in ran- dom order , ➮ press the CDC button = while in CD changer mode.

30 DSA - Digit al Sound Adjustment This unit is equipped with a digital sound-ad- justment system. This consists of three self- aligning, adaptable 7-band equalisers , a dy- namic noise covering system (DNC) and fiv e sound presets. The three 7-band equalisers (EQ1 - EQ3) are each allocated two channels (left and right).

When your v ehicle is in motion, the DNC sys- tem raises the radio v olume to the volume you consider pleasant when y our vehicle is stationar y .
34 TMC for dynamic navigat ion systems TMC denotes “T raffic Message Channel”. T raf- fic announcements are transmitted digitally via TMC and can therefore b y used by suit- able na vigation systems for route planning. Y our car radio has one TMC output f or con- nection to Blaupunkt navigation systems .
