Step 2d Insert AutoTune power/com munication 4-pin plug into the bike’s data port (gray), located at the b ase of the battery, left side of the bike.
Step 3 Load a Base Map to your SmartLink softwa re. Selecting a base map for your Thu nderMax is easy thanks to the filtering system in th e SmartLink soft ware. Open SmartLink; from the toolba r choose [EFI Maps] [EFI Map Listings / Definitions]. You shoul d first update the Map Definitions file to ensure you have the latest available maps.
Step 4 From the ‘Tuning Maps’ Tree, click the + sign next to [Module Configuration] , t hen double-click ‘Basic Settings’ . The ba sic settings page opens. Check to see if the [Speedo Cal] calibration setting matches your year and model; if not, click the button, enter the correct value as shown, then click [Close] .
Step 8 Before restarting the en gine, from toolbar click [Monitoring] [Show Gauges] . T he “Engine Speed”, “Engine Head Temp”, “IAC Position”, “A FR Front”, AFR Rear” and “AFR Target” gauges are automatically formatted and are shown on the screen.
