Defrosting of the refrigerator Frost is automatically e limin ated from the evapo rator of the refrig erator compar tment every t ime the motor com- pressor stops, during nor mal use. The defrost water drains out thro ugh a trough in to a special container a t the back of the appliance, over the motor comp ressor, wh ere it evapora tes.
