4 OPERA TION Before using Remov e all securing tapes. W ash inside the appliance with luke warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of water).
5 T emperature indication In normal conditions, the display indicates the freezer temperature (symbol 2). Each time b utton C is pressed, the display indicates in sequence: 1. symbol 1 tur ns on and indicator 4 shows the temperature of the fridge compar tment; 2.
Normal Operating Sounds • Y ou may hear f aint gurgling or bubb ling sounds when the refrigerant is pumped through the coils or tubing at the rear , to the cooling plate/ev aporator . • When the compressor is on, the refrigerant is being pumped round, and you will hear a whirring sound or pulsating noise from the compressor .
7 Frozen f ood storage When you first start the freezer or if the freezer has been out of use for some time , we advise you to run your appliance f or at least 24 hours in the «fast freeze» mode bef ore storing frozen food. Do not exceed the stor age period indicated by the manuf acturer .
P ositioning the door shelves T o per mit storage of food pac kages of various sizes , the door shelves can be adjusted in height.T o make these adjustments proceed as follo ws: Gradually pull the shelf in the direction of the arrows until it comes off, then reposition as required.
9 Food Storage • T o obtain the best results from your appliance, neither hot foods nor liquids which ma y ev aporate, should be placed in the larder compar tment. • K eep the time between buying chilled f ood and placing it in your fridge as shor t as possible .
10 Defrosting Refrigerator The refrigerator automatically defrosts ev ery time the compressor stops. The w ater is discharged, via the pipe, into a tra y located at the back of the appliance abov e the compressor , where it ev aporates.

18 Fit the appliance in the niche by making sure that it stands against the interior surface of the unit on the side where the door hinges of the appliances are fitted. Inser t the appliance until the upper strip butts up against the unit (1) and make sure that the low er hinge is in line with the surface of the unit (2).
19 Place guide (Ha) on the inside par t of the furniture door , up and down as shown in the figure and mark the position of external holes. After having drilled holes, fix the guide with the screws supplied.
20 If the appliance is fixed to the side of the kitchen unit, simply slack en the screws in fixing brac kets (E), mov e the brack ets as shown in the figure and re- tighten the screws. Fit the cover (D). After completion of the door reversing operation, check that the door gasket adheres to the cabinet.
