5 INS INS TR TR UCTIONS F UCTIONS F OR THE USER OR THE USER General inf ormation This appliance is designed for freezing and st orage of frozen f ood in a domestic home. T o ensure cor rect operation, the appliance should be located where the ambient t emperature is between 1 6-32 °C.
6 Using the Appliance Before Use Remove all packaging and securing tapes. Wash inside the appliance with lukewarm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0,5 litre of wat er).
7 Hints & Tips Food Stor age T o obt ain the best per formance from your freezer: Do not store warm food or e vaporating liquid. Avoid buying frozen f ood if you cannot st ore it straight away . The use of an insulated container is advisable. When you arrive home, place the frozen food in the freez er immediately .
8 Before any maint enance or cleaning is carried out you must DISCONNE CT the appliance from the electricity supply. Internal Cleaning Clean the inside and accessories with warm water and bicarbonate of soda (5 ml to 0.5 litre of wat er). Rinse and dr y thoroughly .
9 Defrosting The freezer compar tment will become progressively covered with frost. This should be removed with the special plastic scraper provided whenever the thickness of frost e xceeds 6 mm ( ¼ ”). During this operation it is not necessar y to swit ch off the power supply or to remove the f oodstuf fs.
