8 The F reez er F reezing fresh food When freezing fresh food alwa ys place the food in the freezing compar tment which is the top drawer in the freezer section. 1 . T urn the ther mostat control knob to the maximum setting. 2. Place the food to be fr ozen in the top drawer .
9 Defrosting Refrigerator The refrigerator defrosts e ver y time the compressor stops. The wat er is discharged, via the pipe, into a tray located at the back of the appliance above the compressor , where it evaporates.

This should be removed with the special plastic scraper provided, whenever the thickness of the frost reaches 6 mm ( ¾ ”).
