10 CONNECTING TO MAINS TERMINAL Warning: This appliance must be earthed. • Make con nection as shown in F ig. 6 by proceed ing as foll ows:- • Preform wires to th e appropr iate shap e to su it fitting int o the mai ns termina l block. • Strip inner ins ulation on w ires using wirestri ppers.

16 2. HOW TO SET THE COUNTDOWN The 'Countd own' gives a n audible r eminder at the end of any period of cooki ng up t o 1 hr 30 mi nut es . It is not par t of the au tomatic co ntrol. 1. Press butt on to s elect the 'Coun tdown' function.
17 3. HOW TO SET THE OVEN TIMER CONTROL The main oven on ly can be a utomatic ally timed. When usi ng the tim er contro l for the ver y firs t time, it is advisa ble to let it operate w hile yo u are at h ome.

20 BOOST FUNCTION USES OF BOOST FUNCTION After a c ooking func tion has be en selecte d and the temperature has been ad justed, th e cavity wil l gradual ly heat up unt il the s elected t emperatur e is reached. This will tak e from 10 to 1 5 minutes , depending on selec te d fu nc tio n a nd t emp er atur e .
21 USES OF THE FAN OVEN PREHEA TING The fan ov en quick ly reaches its tempera ture so it is not usually n ecessar y to preheat the oven. Without preheati ng however yo u may nee d to add an extra 5 – 10 minutes o n the recom mended c ooking times. For recipes n eeding hi gh temperat ures e.

23 USES OF THE CONVENTIONAL OVEN This main oven func tion uses the top an d lower elements to give single l evel cook ing. This is partic ularly s uitable for dishes whic h require extra base browning such as piz zas, quiches and flans. Gr atins, las agnes an d hotpots which re quire extr a top brown ing also c ook well in the c onventiona l oven.

27 HINTS AND TIPS • Prepare foods in the same way as f or conventi onal gril ling. Brus h lean m eats and f ish lightly with a little oil or butter to k eep them mo ist during c ooking.

29 THE GRILL PAN AND HANDLE The grill pan is sup plied with a removabl e handle. To attach the handle, place the wirework under the cut out in the pan so that the metal p late hooks over the top o f the grill pan. Slide the handl e to the left a nd over the ce ntra l bu mp on the gri ll pan.

34 USES OF THE TOP OV EN The second oven is th e small er of the two ov ens. It is heated by elements in the top and bot tom of the oven. It is designed for cooki ng smaller quantit ies of food. I t gives es pecially go od resu lts if used to cook fru it cakes, sw eets and savo ury flans or quiche.

41 CLEANING INSIDE THE MAIN OVEN The sides and back of the main oven are c oated with a Stayc lean surfac e. The Stayc lean surfac es insid e the ove n should not be cleane d manual ly.
42 TO REMOVE THE WIREWORK RUNNERS The wirework runners in the grill and oven cavities c an be remov ed for cl eaning. 1. Remove all she lves an d furnitur e from the gr ill and oven compart ments . 2. Hold the wirework at the bott om, unclip fro m the cavity side and gently pull towards th e centre of the gril l or oven c ompartment.
43 TO REPLACE THE OUTER GLASS 1. Open t he oven d oor with c are an d plac e in the park positio n at an angle of approxi mat ely 30°. 2. Holding the ov en glas s with bo th hands , ge ntly place the locat ors into the ho les of th e brackets at the bottom of the ov en door.
