4 Oven Function Contr ol Knob Oven Light - The oven light will be on without any cooking function Conventional cooking - The heat comes from both the top and bottom element, ensuring even heating inside the oven. Top heating element - The heat comes from the top of the oven only.

6 Hints and Tips Condensation and steam When f ood is heated it produces steam in the same wa y as a boiling kettle. The oven v ents allow some of this steam to escape. Howe ver , always stand bac k fr om the oven when opening the o ven door to allow any b uild up of steam or heat to release.
7 The F an Oven The air inside the ov en is heated by the element around the f an situated behind the back panel. The fan circulates hot air to maintain an e ven temper ature inside the ov en.

9 The Con ventional Oven When using this setting, heat comes from both the top and bottom elements. This allows you to cook on a single lev el and is par ticularly suitable f or dishes which require e xtra base browning such as pizzas , quiches and flans.

16 Care of catal ytic liner s Catalytic liners destroy splashes of food and fats when the oven temperature is raised to around 220 ° C. To aid this process it is a good idea to run the oven for an hour or two per week, without food, to ensure continued good performance from the Catalytic liners.
