5 CLP-920 The Control Panel Soft pedal 1 [PO WER] Switch Press the [POWER] switch once to turn the power ON, a second time to turn the power OFF . When the power is turned ON, the POWER indicator (located to the left of the keyboard) will light.

CAUTION • Hold the cover with both hands when mo ving it, and do not release it until it is fully opened or closed. 10 CLP-920 The Pedals Soft (Left) P edal ............................................................................................... The soft pedal reduces the volume and slightly changes the timbre of notes played while the pedal is pressed. The soft pedal will not affect notes which are already playing when it is pressed.

X Press any key between F # 2 and F # 3 according to the desired amount of transposition.* C Release the A-1 and C # 0 keys. 15 CLP-920 Connecting to a Personal Computer Although the Cla vinov a can be connected to a personal computer via the MIDI IN/OUT connectors and a MIDI interf ace, the T O HOST connector and HOST SELE.
16 CLP-920 Connecting to an IBM-PC/A T Series Computer ............ Connect the T O HOST connector of the Clavinova to the RS-232C port on your IBM computer , using a standard 8-pin MINI DIN → 9-pin D-SUB cross cable. Set the HOST SELECT switch to the “PC-2” position.
17 CLP-920 Connecting to a Personal Computer Using a USB Interface (such as the Y amaha UX256) Connect the USB interface (Y amaha UX256 or equivalent) to your computer using a USB cable. Install the driver software supplied with the interface (or other appropriate driver software) on your computer according to the supplied instructions.
