After five seconds, the li ghts remain illuminated until the front panel has status information for all the lights.

18 F reedom SW 3000 Owner’s Guide Operating T he F reedom SW 3000 When batteries are cold, their ch emical reaction i s sluggish, meaning t hey don’t absorb charge as easily . Thus a charge level optimized for room temperature wil l not charge the bat teries sufficiently if they are cold.
975-0545-01-01 19 Operating T he Freedom SW 3000 Follow the battery manufacturer’ s recommen dations for equalizing your batteries. As a guide, a heavily used flooded battery may need to be equalized once a mont h, and a battery in light se rvice may only need to be equalized every two to four months.

A description of the lights is provided in T able 3. If none of the front panel lights are on, see “Troubleshooting Reference” on page 47.

975-0545-01-01 23 Operating T he Freedom SW 3000 Safe Characteristics Selecting Safe mode stops the generator (if it is running) and puts th e SCP (and a ll Xanbus-enabled devices) into Safe mode. While in Safe mode, the SCP remains powered, “listening” to and rep orting its status to the network.

If advanced menu is enabled, sc roll through the Freedom SW 3000 advanced menu items until Basic Menu is highlighted and press Enter .

Use this setting when connecting to an AC source. If using multiple AC sources via an AC transfer switch , adj ust this setting to the smaller AC breaker size.

If a battery temperature sensor is not present, the Freedom SW 3000 uses the hot setting which is the default value, unless the setting has been adjusted during configuration.
