Operation 35 English Selectin g th e aspect rat io The 'aspect ratio' is the ra tio of the image width to the imag e heig ht. F or W700/W710ST , the default as pect ratio is 16:9. Most analog TV and com put e rs ar e in 4:3 ratio , and digital TV and DVDs are us ually in 16: 9 ratio.
Operat ion 36 English 3. 4:3 : Scales an image so that it is dis played in the cent er of the scr e en with a 4:3 as pect ratio . This is most suitable for 4:3 images like c om puter monitors, standar d def inition TV and 4:3 imag es aspe ct DVD movies, as it displ ays them without aspec t alteration.

Operat ion 38 English Setting the User 1/User 2 mode There are two user -de finable modes if the current a vailable picture modes ar e not suitable for yo ur need. Y ou c an use one of the pictur e mo des (except the User 1 / User 2 ) as a start ing point and custo mize the s ettings.

Lower s etting pro duces le ss saturated colors. If th e setti ng is to o hig h, colors on t he image wil l be overpowering, which makes the image unr e alistic.
